Get To Know Indiana Band Houndmouth

Every now and again there comes a band that was made for roadtripping playlists. Houndmouth is that band. The best thing to come out of Indiana since “Hoosiers,” the seasoned veterans of festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and SXSW have been recognized by The Guardian, Garden & Gun, as well as Esquire.

Houndmouth offers the best of both worlds, combining heavy southern rock with soothing, Dylan-esque melodies. Older stand out tracks such as “For No One” and “Penitentiary” leave the largest impression, while new track “Black Gold” teases at a departure from the folk and blues melodies of previous albums. “Black Gold,” the newest track off of upcoming album, “Little Neon Limelight” promises a heavier take on the new album, and a return to the southern rock roots they built their reputation on.

“Little Neon Limelight” comes out March 17, so to prepare I heartily suggest you binge listen this playlist of the best of Houndmouth.
