Now Playing at Literally, Darling: The Ultimate August 2017

Here at Literally, Darling, we’re all about collaboration and variety, so it only made sense we’d start a collaborative playlist where you can find our favorite tunes of the month, both old and new. This month’s seventy tracks boasts an eclectic roster of artists and genres.

LD’s all about music from strong females. This month we can’t stop raving about the latest from Halsey, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Lana Del Ray, Kesha, and Lorde. We’ve also added in some lesser know badass women like K.Flay, Misterwives, Pvris, and Ashley Monroe.

There’s also some nostalgic, older songs from our favorite boy bands (Jonas Brothers) to our pop punk high school hits (Mayday Parade) to classic rock anthems we can’t get out our heads from binge-watching Supernatural (Kansas).

August is when we say farewell to summer, so we’ve added some tracks that speak to this season’s hits from a couple songs from Kinky Boots in honor of Brendon Urie’s stellar summer on Broadway (sadly, this isn’t his cast’s recording) to the groovy soundtrack to Baby Driver to Blink-182’s California (Deluxe Edition).

Of course, this barely scratches the surface of the playlist. So put your headphones in, hit shuffle, and enjoy this month’s curated ear candy from all of us at Literally, Darling.
