As if finding a cute outfit in the morning wasn’t hard enough, it’s even harder when the spring weather goes from Sahara heat in the morning to monsoon rains in the afternoon. Most people don’t even think about jackets in the spring because they are so excited to shed some layers after bundling up all winter long, but the only way to combat the unpredictable weather that lays ahead of you is to layer up. Even if you do have confidence in sunshine like our good friend Sister Maria, you may still be faced with rain or wind. Because life does enjoy throwing a good struggle our way every now and then.
These five jackets will keep you comfortable and cute all spring long.
1. Army Green Utility Jacket
The military trend is still in full force this season, as we saw on the S/S ‘15 runways, so this jacket (Forever 21, $42.90) is the perfect versatile layering piece. “Military” or nah, don’t let that shy you away for fear of looking too masculine. Girly this jacket up by pairing it with florals, graphic tees, and light sweaters for the spring.
2. Denim Jacket
Denim jackets are a classic; give your favorite summer sundress its first outing of the year by tossing a denim jacket over the top. 4. Floral Bomber Jacket
Florals are always in for spring; florals on a bomber jacket take the classic sporty look and give it a feminine edge. 5. Light-Colored Moto Jacket
Black moto jackets are a classic go-to in the fall, but perhaps a bit doomy gloomy for this fair season. A light colored version, however, brightens up any outfit for spring.
