22 Best Alt-Rock Songs Of Summer 2015

Oh those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer… We’re well into those perfectly hot days that never quite seem to end, even into the evenings. Those days of humidity, salty skin, and cicada songs. Those days of calamity after the chaos of graduations and July 4th BBQs. In all that chaos, it’s easy to lose track of what songs have been a part of our summer soundtracks.

For me, a summer soundtrack needs to have a little pop, a little singer/songwriter, a little country, and a little rock. But what about those days when you just want to rock out? After a long day in an office as cold as Antarctica, I love getting in my car and warming up with a windows-down, alternative-rock jam session. It’s been a great couple of months for alt-rock music: from Florence and the Machine and The Mowgli’s to Halsey and Twenty One Pilots, so many talented artists have released new albums and announced new tours.

I know, I know. I hate acknowledging that this season is already fading out, but that doesn’t mean we need to say goodbye just yet! I’ve rounded up some of the best alt-rock songs from this summer for your jam sesh convenience. So let’s hold on a little longer. Let’s stay up a little later, sing a little louder, dance a little wilder. Are you with me? These are the best alt-rock songs of summer 2015.
