5 Ideas for a Great Girls’ Night In

You probably used to spend a great deal of time with your girlfriends out and about enjoying the town. However, if you have not considered how much fun you can have from the comfort of one of your homes, then you are in for a real treat. Girls’ night in can be so much fun, and as it becomes safer for us to expand our social bubbles, it can bring back the nostalgia of middle school slumber parties without all of the lame parental rules that you used to have.

Movie Marathon

How many of us can say that our spouses or partners love to watch the girly movies that we love to binge watch? If you are one of the few, then congratulations. For the rest of us, make a list of all of the chick flicks that you could possibly want to watch and host a movie marathon.

You can make coke floats, paint fingernails, and pop popcorn to make sure that the event feels authentic. With your girlfriends, you can cry at the end of a good chick flick without feeling silly.

Clothing Swap

Women love to borrow things from their friend’s closets, so why not turn this into a whole event? Have each of your friends go through their homes and closets and bring over all of the things that they need to purge. Then, have fun going through each other’s trash to turn it into your very own treasure.

Tasting Party

This one is similar to a potluck, but with a theme! Have each of your friends bring over their favorite bottle of wine and a dish. You could theme it, such as appetizers. You might want to break out your bottle from the White Wine Club. Everyone can chat and taste all of the different combinations that each of the friends brought to the party. For an added element of fun, bring in some scoring sheets and choose a winner for the night!

Spa Night

What girl does not love the sound of a day at the spa? Bring the spa to your home, by having everyone come over and give each other pedicures and manicures. You might even add one of those inflatable foot baths for an extra layer of fun.

Have a Traditional Dinner Party

As much as many women love to dress nice and fix their hair, who wouldn’t love to get an invite to a traditional dinner party. Sharpen your cooking skills and impress your friends with a great meal and even better conversation.

Friends are an important part of our daily lives. They help us to understand who we are and what we stand for. Spending time with your friends is important, but every girls night does not have to happen out on the town. In fact, having a girls night in might actually wind up saving you a little money in the process. Having your girlfriends over for a themed night of fun and gossip is the perfect way to blow off steam.
