28 Mid-2000s Songs Guaranteed To Make You Miss The Warped Tour

To this day, the entire month of July feels like Warped Tour weather to me. If you’re unfamiliar with it, Warped Tour is a traveling music festival that’s basically like day-long summer camp for kids who love punk/pop/rock music. Every summer in high school (and even a couple through college), I’d look forward to that one day in late July when I’d get to rock my heavy eyeliner and Converse around a bunch of kids doing the same (my people!).

After six years apart and just days before my 26th birthday, I made an epic return to Warped Tour with one of my best friends who grew up listening to the exact same music as me. And let me tell you—this was by far my favorite Warped experience (and not just because I met my decade-long girl crush). We got to see so many bands who graced the stages nearly a decade ago, like Yellowcard, New Found Glory, and Sum 41—the same bands who influenced us as teens. I swear some of them have gotten better with age. It’s pretty cool to see that even after all these years and the ever-changing music scene, Warped Tour still brings on bands that keep it connected to its roots.

So in honor of these bands who are still rocking as hard as they did in the early-to-mid 2000s (and to those who called in quits in recent years), I’ve put together a throwback playlist of my favorite Warped Tour bands.

Here’s to Warped Tour—to the bands, the sweat, the sunburn, the money spent on merch, and the voices we lost after singing along.
